“ZORO”Mackenyu Arata is coming to the Philippines

The Japanese actor, who most popularly starred as Zoro in Netflix's live action adaptation of "One Piece," will be part of the ManiPopCon 2023.

The convention will take place from November 17 to 19 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

Mackenyu starred alongside Iñaki Godoy, Emily Eurdd, Taz Skylar, and Jacob Gibson in the successful "One Piece," which is based on the manga by Eiichiro Oda


Aside from "One Piece," Mackenyu is known for his roles in "Pacific Rim: Uprising" (2018), and "Over Drive" (2018). He also appeared in "Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter" (2021) and "Fullmetal Alchemist: The Revenge Of Scar" (2022) and "Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Transmutation" (2022).

Actor Lee Sun-kyun of the Oscar-winning "Parasite" was found dead in an apparent suicide Wednesday (December 27, 2023) while facing an investigation over suspected drug use. Liam Payne, who came to fame as part of boy band One Direction, has passed away. He was 31.

Former One Direction star Liam Payne died after falling from the third floor of his hotel room in Argentina, according to state police. Emergency services were called Wednesday evening in order to deal with a man acting erratically and perhaps under the influence, Alberto Crescenti, the director of SAME, Buenos Aires Emergency Medical Services told ABC News. Payne's body was found in the inner courtyard of the hotel where he was pronounced dead on the scene, according to Crescenti. Crescenti told local Argentinian media outlet TN that Payne fell 13 to 14 meters, the equivalent of about 42 to 45 feet, describing the injuries as "very serious" and "incompatible with life." Crescenti added emergency services arrived at the scene at 5:11 p.m. local time, seven minutes after they received the emergency services call.
