Police released an initial statement on the cause of Song Jae Rim’s death, finding a two-page letter under a pillow in his apartment.
On November 12, Seongdong Police Station in Seoul confirmed that Song Jae Rim was found deceased in his apartment in Seoul’s Seongdong District. At the scene, the police also found a 2-page A4 suicide note. The content was the late actor’s farewell message to his parents and family.
According to preliminary police reports, no signs of foul play have been detected. But the cause of death remains unknown. However, they indicated that further examination is required to establish a conclusive statement. Authorities plan to release a final update in the coming days as they continue to investigate this unfortunate incident.
Born in 1985, Song Jae Rim made his debut in the 2009 film “Actresses” and rose to prominence with his role in the 2012 drama “The Moon Embracing the Sun.”
Following this, he actively appeared in dramas such as “Two Weeks,” “Unkind Ladies,” and most recently “Queen Woo.”
A memorial has been arranged at the Yeouido Catholic Church Funeral Hall in Seoul. This funeral service for the late actor will be held on November 14 at 12 p.m., and his final resting place will be at Seoul City Seunghwawon.
